Ghorka Brass Peacock Morchang

Ghorka Brass Peacock Morchang
Sand cast in the ancient fashion from the style of Master Ghorka of Rajasthan, the Brass Peacock sings a beautiful song without saturation. These instruments are now being crafted by his son Veera Ram.
When open/close glottis play in the Rajasthani is used the harp is capable of good melody, rhythm, percussives and all aspects of morchang play. The instrument has a reed of medium stiffness and medium sensitivity.
This Morchang still sounds of Rajasthan and the beautiful Morchang that are made there. The sound of each of these morchang is unique and individual in character. These Harps are now available in closely tuned notes. Choose your desired key from the “KEY SELECTION” drop-down below! Beautiful natural melodics drone from the harp when open/close style play is applied. Medium in sensitivity and volume, this morchang has complex and a mysterious sound that calls to other worlds. With advanced glottis technique this harp will shine.
For a perfectly tuned instrument you can add the Permanent Tuning Service to your cart, and our in house harpsmith will tune and engrave the note on the back for easy reference.
