Hand forged in Rajasthan by Master Rekha, the Medium Round is similar in look and appearance to the Traditional Iron Morchang and Small Round.

It’s reed is on the upper side of medium stiffness and handles fast aggressive play very well. The sound is clean and without saturation and is very responsive to open/close glottis play in the Rajasthani style.

Due to the hand forging, these instruments may vary slightly in appearance and sound. These morchang are closely tuned by the maker. For an instrument tuned up to the closest note, choose “Permanent Tuning Service” in the Shop and our in house harpsmith will tune to the closest note, and engrave the tuning on the back!
