Hand forged in Rajasthan by master Rekha, the Large morchang is everything you would expect from a traditional style morchang.

Medium in volume and sensitivity, the large iron morchang sings a beautiful song. This instrument sways toward intermediate and advanced players. Soft overtones accompany the stiffer reed. The design makes it easy to hold with less hand fatigue for longer plucking sessions.

Due to the hand forging, these instruments may vary slightly in appearance and sound. These morchang are closely tuned by the maker. For an instrument tuned up to the closest note, choose “Permanent Tuning Service” in the Shop and our in house harpsmith will tune to the closest note, and engrave the tuning on the back!
